A graduate of Alabama A&M University in 2024 and an alumnus of Alabama State University, Minister Gordon values education and mentorship, continuously working to uplift his community. For the past 10 years, he has served as the President of the Morgan County Branch 5024 of the NAACP, championing civil rights and justice. His passion for service extends to his role as a trustee board member of Tennessee Valley Prep Community College, where he helps shape opportunities for future generations.
Beyond his professional and civic duties, Minister Gordon is a devoted husband to his wife, Tara Gordon, and a proud father to Sharell Powers, Megan Shumaker, and Rodney Gordon Jr. He cherishes his role as a grandfather to seven grandchildren, who bring him endless joy and inspiration.
